Return & Satisfaction Policy
At Melanin Love Skin Care, every product is handcrafted with care using quality ingredients. Because our products are personal care items, we cannot accept returns on opened or used products for health and safety reasons.
Returns
We accept returns only if:
- Your order arrives damaged.
- You received the wrong item.
- Your order is missing an item.
Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the issue. We'll make it right as quickly as possible.
Due to Personal Preference
We understand that fragrance is personal. If you simply don't enjoy the scent you selected, we cannot accept a return or issue a refund on opened products.
If you reach out to us, we'll do our best to help you find a scent you'll love and may offer samples or a one-time courtesy solution at our discretion.
Exchanges
Because our products are handcrafted and considered personal care items, we do not offer exchanges on opened products.
Order Cancellations
Orders may be canceled within 2 hours of purchase. Once production or packaging has begun, orders cannot be canceled.
Shipping Issues
Please verify your shipping address before placing your order. We are not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address entered by the customer.
If your package is marked as delivered but cannot be located, please contact the shipping carrier first. We are happy to assist with filing a claim when possible.
Allergies & Skin Sensitivities
Please review the ingredient list before purchasing. We recommend performing a patch test before full use. Melanin Love Skin Care is not responsible for allergic reactions or sensitivities to ingredients.
Summer Shipping Notice ☀️
At Melanin Love Skin Care, our Body Buttas are made with natural, nourishing butters and oils that are intentionally free from unnecessary stabilizers. Because of this, they may soften or melt during shipping when exposed to high temperatures, especially during the summer months.
If your Body Butta arrives soft or melted, don't worry—it's still perfectly safe and just as effective.
To restore its texture:
- Place the jar in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes, or
- Leave it in a cool, air-conditioned room until it firms back up.
Melting may change the whipped appearance of the product, but it does not change the quality, moisturizing benefits, or performance.
To keep your Body Butta at its best:
- Store it in a cool, dry place.
- Avoid leaving it in hot cars or direct sunlight.
- We recommend bringing your package inside as soon as it's delivered during warmer months.
Because melting is a natural characteristic of handcrafted body butters made with real plant butters and oils, we cannot offer refunds or replacements for products that melt during transit.
